That's exactly what I am worried about. This guy is so famous he could ruin me. But, after moving to a new place lock stock and books, getting into a program, being thrown outta the program (by him) by way of this teacher's obscenity-laden drunken phone call to me, being a pariah on campus in my new MA position-- the best that guilty faculty could do for me-- knowing no one, I go on. And yet, why?

Ah. I remember, researching schools, Wash U had a policy or two that really stood out. Are they the one that will drop a student if her writing shows no "progress"?
